Thoughts for Today

To the scoffer who is tempted to say there's a soul who has never been productive, why not stop and try to remember Heaven's counsel?

Since there is jealousy and quarreling among you,
are you not worldly?
Are you not acting like [people who don't have the Holy Spirit]?
For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,”
are you not mere human beings?

What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul?
Only servants, through whom you came to believe—
as the Lord has assigned to each his task.

I planted the seed, Apollos watered it,
but God has been making it grow.
So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything,
but only God, who makes things grow.
The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose,
and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.
For we are co-workers in God’s service ... .

1 Corinthians 3:3-9, NIV

So, Heaven gives us the creation, which is able to grow. Mankind can alter the "produce" that Heaven has provided, but, truly, God is who produces. Without Heaven, none of us could do anything! WE don't truly produce anything.

We edit, we re-create, we do as Heaven leads. But God brings the increase.

Apart from all that, the best way to stop smoking is to love the Lord.

This isn't to speak condemnation on anyone. It's only Christian testimony.

Getting saved (receiving salvation in Jesus) is the one best way to be healed.
